ECL Envirowest Consultants Limited provides environmental consulting services on local and regional scale projects for public and private sector clients in Western Canada. A strong emphasis of our services is on the protection, management and enhancement of fish and wildlife habitats.

Environmental Sciences

Envirowest possesses expertise in the collection and analysis of scientific information. This expertise affords Envirowest the capability to conduct:

• biophysical and ecological surveys and assessments;

• fish and fish habitat inventories and valuations;

• wildlife and wildlife habitat inventories and valuations;

• taxonomic identification of plants, invertebrates, fish, herptiles, birds and mammals;

• plant biomass and production estimates;

• hydrological and hydraulic assessments;

• stream flow monitoring, flood and minimum flow studies; and

• surface water and groundwater sampling and assessment.

Scientific research and the collection of scientific information is often conducted as part of the services provided for projects.  These activities are supported by an in-house library of more than 7,500 scientific journal and management documents.
